Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or date of birth typed into one of the search tools on this site passes directly to the third-party provider running that search. The provider handles it and returns the results. Those search terms are not stored or logged on our side.
Messages and Contact Submissions
Email you send us is retained so that we can answer it. Nothing in it goes outside our team unless a legal obligation forces disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers record a handful of technical details each time a page here loads:
- Which browser you are running and its version number
- The IP address your device is using
- The pages you opened and the time spent on each
- Your operating system and device type
- A timestamp for every page view
- The referring site, where one exists
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are in use on this site. They are small files kept on your device that let us see which pages draw traffic and where visitors stop reading. Analytics services aggregate that information for us. Blocking cookies is entirely within your browser settings, and doing so may change how parts of the site behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Routing your search requests to the correct partner service
- Keeping the site online, stable, and quick to load
- Finding and repairing technical faults
- Working out which pages earn their place and which need rewriting
- Displaying advertising that may match your interests
No Warrant Data on File
No database of warrants or personal warrant-record information is hosted, compiled, maintained, or sold here. What this site publishes is general guidance on where Copiah County warrant records are kept and how to reach them: the county justice court, the circuit clerk in Hazlehurst, the municipal courts of the county's five towns, the chancery clerk, and the sheriff's office in Gallman. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing gathered about visitors is assembled into consumer reports or into records about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes on this site. Whatever you enter into one of them is handled under that partner's privacy policy rather than this one. Retention and sharing decisions belong to them and are outside our control, so read the partner's policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
This site links out to Mississippi court pages, county office pages, the state open-records materials, and third-party search tools. Following any of those links takes you off our site, and from that point the destination's own privacy policy applies. Read it before you hand over personal details.
Some advertising partners may follow your activity across sites in order to target ads. That tracking happens on their systems, not on ours.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Some information may reach:
- Analytics providers measuring traffic and site performance
- Search partners processing queries you run here
- Government or law enforcement bodies where a valid legal order requires it
- Advertising networks serving ads on our pages
How We Protect Your Data
Standard security practices are applied to the data we collect. Nothing connected to the internet is ever completely safe, though. We take reasonable steps to keep information secure without pretending that a breach is impossible.
Users Under 18
Adults are the intended audience for this site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us data, contact us and it will be deleted.
Your Data Rights
Your rights depend on where you live. Mississippi consumer-protection law, together with the state's open-records framework in the Mississippi Public Records Act of 1983 (Miss. Code § 25-61-1 and following), shapes how records held by public bodies and businesses in this state are treated. At a minimum you can:
- Request a copy of what we hold about you
- Ask us to erase your data
- Have inaccurate information corrected
- Opt out of certain kinds of processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may change over time. Any revised version appears on this page carrying a new effective date, so check back if you want to follow how we handle information.
